This little lady completely made my day. She was so calm and happy during her session which I think was a clear reflection of her super cool, chill parents!
One of my favorite things to include in sessions are family heirlooms. Her parents brought some beautiful heirloom cloths to use in her session and I love how perfectly he tied the session together.
Enjoy this little sneak peek!
Oh this family. One of my favorites. I've been photographing them since the first little guy came along. Watching these families grow is such a cool perk to my job. Recently I've started to offer a lifestyle newborn session option and I am absolutely loving it. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have!
So this isn't my typical blog post. Although, lately my 'typical' blog post is no post at all. I'm working on getting back into the groove!
Any photographers who are reading this know all too well the struggles that accompany editing with consistency. It's tough. Every session is different. Outdoor and studio light are different. Skin tones are different. Clothing, flowers, and trees produce color casts on skin. One of my biggest struggles is consistency.
So I recently had the chance to try out the Sleeklens Lightroom Workflow presets and brushes. I really try not to over edit my pictures and this product allowed me to make the minor changes I needed to with just a few clicks. Then sync and bam, done. Below is a sample of what I was able to do with 4 clicks. Pretty cool. And bonus, it's way cheaper than a lot of Lightroom Bundles.
You can check out this workflow or their other Lightroom presets. Even if you don't have their products, they have great tutorial videos for Lightroom too!

Happy editing ya'll! Keep an eye out for new images on the blog soon!
There is something just so cozy and comfortable about shooting a newborn session in the family home. Everyone seems a little more at ease, even the baby. For the first couple of years that I was shooting newborn sessions, I only worked in the clients home. Now I'm falling back in love with the lifestyle in-home newborn session. I hope you enjoy this little guy and his adorable family.
I enjoy my job so much. This specific session was so special to me because I've been photographing baby Jack's big sister since she was born. His amazing parents have trusted me to document their family for quite some time and I feel so honored to be given this task. And he's an insanely beautiful boy, so that didn't hurt. Enjoy this little peek into Jack's newborn session!
